SYNOPSIS

What if the victim is not who you think it is. For five months a 14-year-old, Nonzwakazi has been in Mr. Fali's biology class as a student Mr. Fali is 42 years old, Nonzwakazi struggles with her subject and attends Mr. Fali's extra classes at Mr. Fali's house. They get along well, Nonzwakazi appears to flirt with her teacher Mr. Fali, and he kindly tries to restrain himself, yet he admits he finds himself drawn to Nonzwakazi's beauty, he keeps saying he has to wait until she is older. It's not easy to decline this 14years old girl, he is tempted. Nonzwakazi's manipulation and torture become the ball game, and the secrets that were buried are resurrected and hell break lose.

‘Salty Pillows’ is a simple yet circuitous story of love, culture, race, death and life. A story about a black woman married to a white Dutch man she is pregnant and finds herself locked away in a psychiatric room declared as mentally disturbed with signs of a chronological psychosis. She is visited every night by her dead father-in-law who hated her but has a new interest in her because of her pregnancy.

Salty Pillows is told through the eyes of two characters, that face difficulties of accepting difference.

Salty Pillows is fast paced dialogue sometimes funny, sometimes blood boiling kinder play with a touch of metaphorical symbolism, it is strictly about interracial relationships and misunderstanding of culture.
